At first glance, I wondered how the triniTea tea maker could possibly beat the simplicity of a tea pot and infuser. But I got the point once I started to test it with my collection of loose teas. I could prep every step of brewing 1-4 cups of tea in advance and then walk away knowing the water would boil, the leaves would infuse, and the tea would be filtered and waiting - all without requiring any additional effort on my part.

I have a bad habit of setting up my tea pot to infuse the leaves and then forgetting about the tea until it is too late. I was drinking as many bitter, cold cups of tea as good ones. Not any more. With triniTea, every cup is filtered at the perfect time. I can drink a cup now and another one hours later without any difference in the strength or temperature of the tea.

It's much easier to operate than my first impression led me to think when I unpacked it from the box. I did find one small problem with the tea carafe. When I pour a cup with the lid on, it tends to leak. That's because the lid has a built in sieve in case you choose to add ice for iced tea. Poured at the correct angle and speed there's no problem, but I simply remove the lid in order to pour a neat cup.

Since I've had the triniTEA tea maker, I haven't used any of my other pots. I'll probably save those for special occasions when I want to set a traditional tea table. For everyday use at work, at home, or when entertaining, you can't beat this new way of brewing tea.
